Could you be a ‘Her Salisbury Story’ Volunteer?
Since we launched the website a couple of weeks ago we have had a good response to our call out for volunteers. However this is a big project and we are keen to offer opportunities to as many people as possible. We’d love to hear from people of all ages and backgrounds.
The two main areas of activity at the moment are recruiting people to research historic women and also to do oral history interviews with contemporary women. We will be providing training in these areas. You can find out more by looking at our volunteer information pack
In addition we are looking for transcribers, people to help with technical support (editing tapes etc) and help developing Her Salisbury Footprint which it’s hoped will comprise a number of women’s walks in Salisbury.
If in the future (2021) we are able to go ahead with our planned events we will also be needing some help with these.
As you can see there are loads of ways you can get involved.
