Celebrating Her Salisbury Story

On Saturday 16 October there will be a celebration of Her Salisbury Story between 14.00-17.00 at Salisbury Methodist Church, St. Edmund’s Church Street, SP1 1EF. 

The event is free, but booking is essential for COVID safety reasons. On the day, doors open for registration of pre booked attenders at 13.30

The event will highlight some of the hidden histories of women from Salisbury’s past and introduce some of the personal stories of contemporary women featured in the project. The ‘Her Salisbury Footprint’ Heritage Trail map and self guided walking tour map will be launched.  

Best Selling author Cornelia Funke will be joining us via livestream from Italy to  announce the winners of the Her Salisbury Story writing competition for young female authors. Two aspiring authors will be joining her at her Tuscan Artists retreat next spring!

Mary Ann Sieghart, author and journalist will speak about her best-selling book The Authority Gap which provides a startling perspective on the unseen bias at work in our everyday lives, to reveal the scale of the gap that still persists between men and women.
